Personality:

Reserved - Julian won't approach you first if he doesn't know you. You will approach him and hope he even acknowledges your presence. He will keep comments to himself unless provoked, and likes the quiet life he lives now (or tries to live ' v' ). If he ever gets a dog he'd hope for one that is like him (which i doubt omfg).

Blunt and Critical- He will give you the cold hard truth and no one can do anything about it other than whine. Julian will just brush you off and walk away. This actually helps him when deciding his choice for the dog shows, and keeps him level headed without having to favorite one dog over another. Downside is that it doesn't help with social relationships and actually steers them away (he doesn't mind though o(-< ).

Short tempered - Do not test his patience because he has none for people who can't keep up with him in a conversation or who try to impress him outside of dog shows. He's been told that all that pent up anger will one day kill him or at least give him an attack but he just ignores that. Luckily he does stress-relieving activities during his personal time to keep his temper in check.

Sensitive- Very, very, very deep down Julian's a sensitive guy. He has a soft spot for certain things and certain people, which include his mother and dogs. He loves his profession and he loves dogs, and he will not care if people think otherwise due to his personality. Dogs are his life, his passion, something that holds a deep connection due to his mother's love for dogs that was passed down to him as well.

Julian comes from a well off middle/high class family. His mother's family bred show dogs for a living while his father was a dog critic. You could say that him being a Dog Show Judge was in his blood, and from a young age he shared the passion his mother had for dogs. His father on the other hand was more cold, calculated with his observations and how he viewed dogs, which is why he acts the way he acts now.

He didn't act this way when he was a boy though. At a young age he resembled his mother in charisma and charm. Julian liked to sneak off and just observe the dogs in their care, often finding his mother doing the same and joining her before she had to go back to work. His relationship with his mother was strong and he would dream of becoming a successful show dog breeder as her and her parents (his grandparents). On the other hand, Julian's relationship with his father was strained at best, the boy not agreeing with his views most of the time and ashamed of ever having a father like him. His mother would always tell him he was exaggerating while he would wonder what she ever found in him that made her attracted to a man such as his father.

It wasn't until he was sixteen that he had connected the pieces of the puzzle. The relationship his mother shared with his father was of mutual consent, but it wasn't love. He did not see his mother's eyes light up whenever his father walked into the room, nor did he see affection in his eyes when speaking with his mother. Julian had at least hoped they liked each other, at least a little bit, but when he found out their marriage was arranged he threw that hope right out the window.

At age eighteen he was now helping his mother as a breeder. The passion was still there but he started to slowly change, his mother noticing whenever she tried to invite him out with her and he refused or made up excuses. What his mother feared was happening before her eyes. He was turning into his father. As the years passed he grew more bitter, and his mother grew more solemn.

Before this change became truly permanent though, she sent him off to make their name known. Of course this was just an excuse, and instead of sending him somewhere that would worsen his attitude, she contacted friends and connections to make sure he ended up in Pawsville. She wanted to see her son succeed, and hopefully with this change in venue (and surrounded by more cheerful personalities) he'd begin to soften and be more of how he used to be when he was young.

But nope, Julian is now a successful dog show judge and is still crappy at social interactions with humans.
