Pokemon Amie Application - Corey

Corey has never been known to have a tidy appearance.  His hair will most likely cover his eyes 110% of the time, not bothering to brush it since it will just gather more static and make it worse.  Due to a slight error in his Dittech either his horns or tail will be visible (but not at the same time).  He doesn’t bother with his horns and just passes them off as an accessory, but his tail annoys him when it’s out.  He is known to wear the same shirt for days on straight, until he finds a new clean shirt under the pile of clothes that are deemed clean by him.  Doesn’t really matter since Corey will just cover it with his hoodie, and instead of jeans he is always seen with shorts and comfortable sneakers.  As long as he’s comfortable in his clothes he’s good with his appearance (despite what others will say.)

Very laidback and chill, Corey is the type of guy that is easy to please and likes to help out when he wants to and to who deserves it more.  He has made it his goal to do one good deed every day, no matter how small it would be.  He’s pretty much the silent type as well, making his feelings known by different gestures or just typing it in his portable device and writing it out.  The reason for this is due to a traumatic experience he had while he was still with his trainer.  Still he is able to get his points across, and live a pretty stable life.

The only time he’d be really serious about something is when he’s playing games or messing around with technology.  Corey is very curious, and has an active mind when taking apart devices to see how they work and then putting them back to how they were.  When gaming he’s serious and alert, making cocky gestures whenever he’s winning or giving annoyed looks and glares when losing.  He’s very competitive when it comes to gaming, and people should keep their devices away from him if they don’t want him tinkering with it.  Tinkering also involves any type of program he can get his hands on.  While not an expert, Corey has a knack of “modifying” certain software/programs due to observing his previous owner do so several times before.  It can either be a good thing or a hindrance, since they end up being viruses most of the time (which is not what Corey wants aha).

Corey’s happy when surrounded by flowers, which is the main reason he now lives in Laverre City.  While not as technologically advanced as Lumiose, he prefers it there because it calms him and keeps him laidback.  He doesn’t do well around big crowds, often staying away from bigger cities as much as possible.  Human interaction only comes in the form of his neighbors whenever they have an odd job for him to do around their homes.

Last thing you need to know about him is that he gets triggered by loud noises and factories.  Loud noises cause him to have episodes that are hard to get out of until he’s calmed down by someone else. During these moments his attacks are erratic and turns back into his pokemon form.  That is why Corey is normally seen with his headphones on most of the time, to muffle out certain noises. He has pretty bad experiences with any type of factory buildings of the sort (especially power plants), and will not get near any for as long as he lives.

Corey doesn’t have many fond memories of humans from his earlier years.  Early memories were back in a farm and part of a flock, never really knowing who his parents were or if there was even a life outside of the farm.  He was cared for, fed and brought up for his wool, but he felt that a life like this was something he didn’t want at all.  One night, when everyone was grazing in the fields and asleep, he ventured out to see what was on the other side of the fence. It was scary for him since he’s never left the safety of the flock, but at the same time it made him feel independent and his curiosity got the best of him...

The small freedom didn’t last though, as he suddenly found himself pressed against the ground by a body larger and stronger than him.  In a weak attempt to shake the attacker off Corey let electricity course through him to try and shock the other, but everything was done in vain as one swift attack knocked him out.  Everything turned into darkness and the feeling of being isolated was brought forth right after.

What he had failed to notice though that what attacked him was another pokemon (a Tyrunt), and the feeling he had at the moment was him being trapped into a Pokeball by his new trainer.  Apparently the human had been stalking around the farm to find an opportunity to catch himself a Mareep, but was cautious of the Houndoom looking over the flock.  It just so happened to be his lucky day when finally there was a Mareep dumb enough to leave the flock.

The little Mareep lost the safety of the farm and his flock, and was now the companion of a very rude trainer that used him for lame schemes that often placed his life at risk.  The other pokemon were no better, bullying him and blaming him for things they would do so their trainer can take it out on him (especially that Tyrunt, pretty mean to him >.> ).  Despite all of this though Corey was learning new things.  Would he have picked a nicer trainer? Yes, but that option was gone for him, or until his trainer grew tired and released him.

Time passed and Corey tried his best to get accustomed to his new “family.”  Pokemon battles were scary at first, but he soon grew used to it with the help of “training” from his trainer and “motivation” from his fellow pokemon.  As the weakest he had much to catch up, and while not being trained he would watch his trainer do other things while he was out of the Pokeball.  The only time he wasn’t mistreated was when his trainer would focus on his computer, always taking peeks when he was kept out before getting caught and being returned.  Least to say his curiosity has been to blame for his current situation.

The last time he was with his trainer they were raiding a power plant.  He never knew the intentions of his trainer, or why he was left behind, but all he could remember were loud noises and explosions as well as him reacting badly when trying to override the electricity with his own.  All he remembers is a blinding white light and darkness before waking up as a newly evolved Flaaffy back at the Pokemon Center.  Apparently the need to please his trainer and his own need to show that he was good enough for the team ended up with him evolving, but still fainting after the overcharge.  

He stayed in the center until he was healed, and simply left after to try and find his owner.  Corey wanted to know why he was left behind, even after proving and trying his best to show his trainer how good he was.  During his search he stumbled upon a weird device.  He tried to keep his curiosity at bay, since it’s given him trouble before, but the device looked like something his trainer would tinker with.  Picking it up he started examining it, his reaction priceless when finally noticing that the device he just found had turned him into a human.

At first he thought about throwing it away.  Why would he want to turn into a human? They were liars, and had ways of breaking someone’s spirit without even trying.  On the other hand….this would make it easier for him to find his trainer, and would make it easier for him to roam around freely without the fear of getting caught.  It took a couple of years to get the hang of it, but eventually he settled down in Laverre when he finally made it possible for him to use the device without giving suspicions to others. 

Corey now lives a pretty basic life, having placed his search for his trainer behind and just making every day count.

-He carries around a coin medallion that is actually a disguise for his USB.  He actually made it, and has been tinkering with it ever since to increase its capacity.  He carries personal information/projects in there that he works on his own time.

-Pretty oblivious to advances made on him (totally innocent baby )

-Loves sour food, especially candy (won’t eat anything bitter)

-Enjoys most of his time just sitting in flower fields since it helps him think

-Is a bit slow to react but is able to keep track of a conversation (unless it’s about something he doesn’t know, then he’ll be completely lost)
